Who Are you?
Dr. Patrick Girouard was born in Montreal (Quebec) and raised in Sudbury (Ontario). He completed two B.Sc. at the University of Ottawa (Biology and Biotechnology) before completing his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at l’Université de Montréal, through Canadian Forces Dental Services Training Program. Worked in Greenwood, NS and onboard HMCS Provider, from Halifax. Upon completion of his military service, he founded the Cap-Pelé Dental Health Centre, in October 1997. He has extensive training in Orofacial Pain, including a Certificate from the University of New Jersey. Currently, he is completing a Masters Degree at the Cranio-Facial Pain Center at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and preparing for the American Boards of Orofacial Pain (ABOP).
What do you do?
Owner of the Cap-Pele Dental Health Centre, I aim to provide the highest quality of dentistry, whether general family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, same day crowns (CEREC), nitrous oxide sedation dentistry, sports dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, smile makeovers, TMJ disorders or craniofacial pain.
When did you get started in the business?
The Cap-Pele Dental Health Centre was founded in October 1997.
How many years have you been in business?
Dr. Patrick Girouard graduated form Universite de Montreal in 1993 and has been a full time practicing dentist ever since.
Why do you do what you do?
I love what I do! I am very passionate about delivering the best dentistry I can provide. One way to ensure that I do, is through extensive continued education.
Additional Notes:
Currently specializing in craniofacial pain at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Emphasis on the management and relief of headaches, jaw pains, TMJ disorders and facial pain. My Master’s Thesis evaluates the changes in the posture of athletes while wearing different sport mouthguards.
